So here I was, a 38 year old married mother of 2, fast approaching my 20th high school reunion. While I was looking forward to seeing some old high school friends, the thought of being in that environment brought back all of the same insecurities I felt in high school - all the kids that were wilder and more outgoing than me, all the girls that were prettier and more popular than me, and the friends that broke my heart.

I scheduled my deBoudoir photo session for the morning of the reunion. I don't normally wear make-up and am overall a very practical person. This photo session was way beyond my comfort zone. I had my hair and makeup done by a deBoudoir professional and the photo shoot began. My shyness and inhibition gradually gave way to self-confidence, poise, and empowerment.

When I left the photo studio, I felt like I could conquer the world. I was strong, I was invincible, and I was beautiful. There was nothing that was going to get in my way. And that confidence was obviously evident because I don't remember ever getting so many compliments in my life as I did that night.

This has not only been a once-in-a-lifetime fun experience, but a learning, growing and empowering opportunity that I carry with me daily. Thank you, deBoudoir, for bringing out the woman I have always wanted to be!
